About the Project
I worked with Raymond Realty, the real estate development arm of the Raymond Group, known for blending precision engineering with premium lifestyle amenities, on a lifestyle and interior shoot across two sample flats designed as exact replicas of the final units.
The images were built for a marketing campaign, later used across the company's collateral and city-wide hoardings. The core creative problem was one of illusion. The flats were ground-floor units with no natural light, but the shoot needed to convincingly read as the 30th floor of the building.
The Brief
The brief was aspirational: a campaign that positioned the space as comfortable, modern, and aspirational for a young couple.
Two challenges shaped the entire shoot. First, the sample flat couldn't be closed during the day due to ongoing walk-ins, which meant the shoot had to happen at night. Second, and more technically demanding, that same light-starved, ground-floor space needed to look and feel like a sun-filled apartment thirty floors up.
The Approach
This was a full production in every sense. I used two lights positioned outside the window to simulate daylight streaming in, paired with two additional lights to shape and mould the lighting on the models, building a layered, cinematic quality across each frame. Gels were used throughout to suggest different times of day, giving the campaign visual variety despite being shot entirely at night.
