Client: Shades by Shweta
Project Type: Interior Photography
Space Type: Apartment Home
Location: Mumbai, India
About the Project
I worked with Shades by Shweta, a premier Mumbai-based interior design studio known for creating elegant, comfortable, and personalised residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces, on a beautiful home reconfigured from a 3BHK into a 2BHK for a newly married couple, complete with lovely garden views.
The design was contemporary, with considered use of colour, an open layout, and a monotone living room as its calm anchor point. The true hero of the space, and the shoot, was natural light, flooding in and bringing out the richest hues in every colour throughout the home, making it feel like the kind of cozy space anyone would want to come back to.
The Brief
The brief was documentation of the space. The shoot hit a snag early on when several external styling elements needed for the space arrived late, pushing the entire schedule back and forcing a full rework of the shot plan to still finish within the client's given end time.
The Approach
Having seen the space three weeks ahead of the shoot, I came in with angles already planned and stuck closely to that plan throughout. Aside from the time delay, the shoot moved smoothly, largely thanks to the interior designer, who stayed hands-on and accommodating whenever we hit a snag, helping keep things on track despite the client-side delays.
Here's a walkthrough of the results.
