About the Project
I worked with K. Raheja Realty, a Mumbai-headquartered real estate developer founded in 1956 with a footprint across residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality development, to photograph newly renovated areas at Conrad Pune, most notably the lobby and presidential suite.
Set right in the heart of Koregaon Park, one of Pune's most sought-after addresses, the hotel embodies the quiet luxury Conrad is known for, a space that blends business with genuine escape. Despite being a city hotel, it felt remarkably spacious, with a beautifully considered layout, multiple restaurants, and a striking pool that became one of the shoot's standout captures.
The Brief
The brief was to document select spaces as part of the hotel's routine content updates. Hotel shoots typically demand extensive preplanning, but here, there was only half a day to prepare. Every shot needed to align with Conrad's brand standards and guidelines, all within a dramatically compressed timeline.
The Approach
Artificial lighting was essential throughout, used consistently to balance each space and make colours read true to life, moving from room to room almost like clockwork.
The bigger challenge was styling: hotel shoots depend on precise placement of beds, florals, and other details, which meant working closely and quickly with the hotel team to get every element in place in time for each shot.
Rather than the usual pre-shoot recce, the walkthrough happened on the day itself; images were shared with the hotel team in real time, selections came back fast, and the team moved through the shoot at speed to make the most of the limited window.
