About the Project
I worked with Supreme Universal, a developer that has been shaping the skylines of Mumbai and Pune since 1982, delivering 75 landmarks and 30 redevelopment projects over four decades, to document a super-luxury sample flat in Chembur.
The space itself was a beautifully neutral, well-lit canvas, layered with wood-finish accents and considered art that showcased the full potential of the flat for any prospective buyer walking in. Natural light poured through the space, and the interior design had been so meticulously detailed that almost no furniture or props needed adjusting once the camera was set up.
The Brief
The brief was to document the space for print collateral and the company website, and to feature it on Supreme Universal's site. There was an added purpose behind the shoot: giving prospective clients a clear, accurate preview of the space before they ever walked in, so the images needed to function as a stand-in for the real, in-person experience.
The Approach
I worked with diffused lighting throughout, supplementing the space's natural ambient light with flash to keep everything soft and even. With sample flats, the priority is always to convey scale, showing how expansive the space feels and how naturally one room flows into the next, so composition was focused on capturing that sense of flow rather than dwelling on smaller details.
