About the Project
I worked with Transcon Developers, a Mumbai-based luxury real estate developer with over three decades of legacy, known for blending modern architecture with sustainable building practices, on a lifestyle campaign shoot for Auris Serenity, one of the most premium addresses in Malad.
With two buildings already sold out, this campaign was built specifically to launch the next two, positioning the development as one of the largest gated communities in the area. Set in one of the busiest parts of the city, the campaign's core idea was positioning Auris Serenity as an oasis amid the chaos, clubhouse amenities, greenery, jogging tracks, and quiet corners to retreat into, all within reach the moment residents step back through the gate.
The Brief
Transcon Developers wanted a campaign that highlighted the development's standout amenities: the pool, the clubhouse, the building lobby, and its striking views. The central creative challenge was one of scale.
The building itself was so vast that the models kept getting visually lost within it, which meant rethinking the entire shooting approach to keep both the scale of the architecture and the presence of the models clearly readable in every frame.
The Approach
Lighting this campaign required a full setup, largely built around AD600s, with AD1200s brought in at a few key spots alongside a battery pack and scrim to soften the light on the models. For the blue-hour shot, gels were used to balance the light and create the right mood for the space. Two recces were done ahead of the shoot to map out lighting positions and directions in advance, giving the team a solid foundation to work from on a day where countless variables could shift.
