Services
What types of spaces and subjects do you photograph?
I photograph real estate, interiors, and hospitality spaces including builders' properties, hotels, resorts, Airbnbs, interior designer projects, hostels, office spaces, wedding and banquet halls, gardens, and open spaces. I also shoot food photography for restaurants, chefs, cloud kitchens, and cafes, product photography for jewellery and e-commerce, and portraits and headshots for business professionals and models.
What is the difference between interior photography and real estate photography?
Interior photography documents the character of a space, its styling, textures, and design details, usually for interior designers or homeowners. It relies on close-up, detail-driven shots and careful lighting to capture mood.
Real estate photography showcases scale and layout, usually for developers or realty brands. It relies on wide establishing shots and exterior angles to highlight the overall structure, built for marketing use like brochures and hoardings.
Do you shoot real estate, interiors, and hospitality differently?
Yes. Each of the three requires different degrees of planning, execution, and editing.
Do you offer videography or drone photography as well?
Yes. Devaki works with an external video and drone team for reels, testimonials, and walkthroughs.
Do architectural photographers use drones?
Yes, when the shoot calls for it. Drone photography is typically used to capture aerial perspectives of exteriors, large townships, and expansive developments, giving a sense of scale that's hard to achieve from the ground.
What determines the cost of a shoot?
Every shoot is different, and so is its pricing. The final cost depends on a few key factors: the number of images required, the scale and complexity of the space, the amount of retouching involved, and the number of days needed to do the space justice.
Rather than working off a fixed rate card, Devaki prefers to understand your specific requirements first, this ensures the quote reflects exactly what the project needs, nothing more and nothing less.

Do you offer fixed packages or custom quotes?
Devaki can work with either fixed packages or à la carte pricing depending on the scope of the project.
Is professional photography worth it for a small apartment?
Absolutely, size has nothing to do with impact. A well-photographed small space can feel just as inviting, well-planned, and aspirational as a much larger one. In fact, thoughtful photography often does even more for compact spaces, helping highlight smart design choices and making every square foot feel intentional. Good photography is really about showcasing the character of a space, not its size.
Is there a deposit required to confirm a booking?
Yes. A 20% deposit is required to confirm a booking, with the balance due on delivery.
Are travel costs included in the quote, or billed separately?
Travel costs are billed separately as per actuals.

What happens after I send an enquiry?
A follow-up call will be scheduled to understand the space better, in order to send across an informal pre-recce quote.
Do you visit the site before the shoot day?
It's preferable to visit the site before the shoot, but if that's not possible, even just seeing the plans and any photos or videos of the site will help give an idea of the requirements.
How long does a typical shoot take?
From a single day, up to 15 days. It depends on the scale of the property and the total number of spaces that need to be documented.
Shoot Preparation
How do I prepare my home or space for a photoshoot?
Once the recce is completed, a document will be provided that details the requirements for each space.
How do I prepare a show flat for photography?
Once the recce is completed, a document will be provided that details the requirements for each space.
What should I clean or remove before a real estate shoot?
Once the recce is completed, a document will be provided that details the requirements for each space.
Do you require the space to be staged or styled beforehand?
For staging, it completely depends on what the client wants.
Can you recommend a stylist if I don't have one?
Yes. Devaki regularly works with well-known stylists.
Do you bring your own team, or do I need to arrange support staff?
Devaki brings her own team when required, including stylists, assistants, and an external video and drone crew.
What time of day is best for real estate photography?
Practically any time is good to shoot real estate, but some of the best shots can be taken at dusk or dawn because that's when the buildings look the best.
Deliverables and Turnaround
How many photos will I receive from a shoot?
Usually between 18 to 22 photos. It can be more if the scale of the property is extremely large.
What is the typical turnaround time for edited photos?
Standard turnaround time is 15 to 20 days.
What is the fastest turnaround you can offer?
If the shoot requires a few images to be expedited, then priority delivery can be arranged, for an additional fee.
In what format and resolution are the final images delivered?
TIFF, high resolution JPG, and optimized JPG for web use.
Do I get the raw, unedited files as well?
No, what you'll receive are the final, fully processed images in TIFF and high-resolution JPEG formats, along with web-optimized JPEGs.
These files reflect all of the colour correction, retouching, and post-processing that go into every project, essentially, the polished, ready-to-use version of each shot, rather than the raw camera files that require further editing.
